The Port Huron Blitzkrieg beat the Austin Black Mambas, 17-3, at Port Huron Park. Mike Scott, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Jimmy Wilson, the winner, goes to 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 6 innings. The Blitzkrieg raised their record to 7-12.

With Port Huron leading 7-1 in the bottom of the second, Scott came up to bat against Austin pitcher Stewart Hall. Scott hit a changeup to right for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Blitzkrieg on top, 10-1.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Scott. "And not try to do too much."
