Rainbeaus Fall Short, 4-3, at Norfolk
|
Fans watched the Norfolk Pajaritos and the Kansas Rainbeaus fight to the finish.
Adam Lee helped his team muscle past the Kansas Rainbeaus, 4-3. In the game, the Norfolk left fielder went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Vicente Medina, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 1. Da'wan Gaines got credit for the save for Norfolk. It was his 5th of the year.
Lee had a key at-bat for Norfolk early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Norfolk an early 3-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lee.
Norfolk, now 11-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.
