Blitzkrieg Prevail, 3-2, Over Sioux Falls
|
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg faced a tough opponent in Sioux Falls pitcher Ramon Wuilink, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Port Huron Park by a final score of 3-2. Wuilink went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winner in relief was Phil Stephens. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The Red Pandas drop to 8-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 2047 season.
In the bottom of the second, Samual Kingman delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Port Huron shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Blitzkrieg in front, 3-2.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Port Huron skipper Harrison Blackford.
