The Sioux Falls Red Pandas walked off with a big win.
The Kansas Rainbeaus got a superb performance from pitcher Kevin Hamm. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Sioux Falls. The Red Pandas won the game, 5-4. Hamm threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Sioux Falls reliever Ingo Abresch picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Chao Khu was tagged with the loss.
With the game on the line, Ambrose Watkins came to bat in the bottom of the 13th. And the Sioux Falls catcher came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Carl Harris, the Kansas pitcher.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Kansas manager Rafael Herrera said following the tough loss.
The win gives Sioux Falls a record of 6-3.
