Dodos Lose By a Run at Norfolk, 4-3
|
The Norfolk Pajaritos faced a tough opponent in Hialeah pitcher Jesús Ríos, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Norfolk Field by a final score of 4-3. Ríos went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Norfolk reliever Salim Fakhir picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Patrick Le Gall shouldered the loss. The loss has the Dodos at 0-4.
Had Javier Cunchillos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Cunchillos hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Pajaritos.
"We found a way to get it done," Cunchillos said.
