Coyotes Stick Drummers with 3-1 Loss
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Hamilton Coyotes and the Tortolita Drummers, Ki-seop Ch'oe was the difference-maker. The Hamilton right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Ch'oe, now 6-5, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The Coyotes raised their record to 55-38.
The Coyotes got an important contribution from first baseman Imbart Baars, who in the top of the third hit a first pitch fastball into left for a solo home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Coyotes ahead, 2-1.
"I like what I saw today," said Hamilton manager Mike Brown, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
