Billings Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Polar Bears grabbed a win, 5-4, at The Igloo, overcoming a fine effort from Toledo pitcher Mike Thornton. Thornton went 7.2 innings and allowed no runs. Juan Hernández, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss drops Toledo to 5-5.

The Polar Bears were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Tuo-zhou Lew turned a 2-0 fastball from Jim Hicks into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the The Igloo denizens and sent the Polar Bears home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Lew. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
