Behind a fine performance from Michizane Yamashita, the Baton Rouge Brass knocked off the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 8-5. Yamashita was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Brass. Baton Rouge improves to 51-28 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.

Baton Rouge used the clutch hitting of Jeremy Pollock to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Brass ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Baton Rouge skipper Jarred Smith.
