The home crowd had a good time watching the Virginia Beach Whales and Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas get after it.

Manuel Pérez was a vital contributor to the 7-3 Chesapeake victory over Virginia Beach. The Cangrejos Fantasmas shortstop was 3-3 with 2 triples, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Sidd Finch, his 2nd.

The Cangrejos Fantasmas got a big at-bat from right fielder Juan Peña. For the game, Peña was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Chesapeake a 3-2 lead.

Pérez told a Chesapeake Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
