Rintala goes 3-for-5 in Guinea Pigs Win
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs bested the Barton Springs Blues by a score of 8-6, with catcher Arhippa Rintala getting the main credit. On the day, Rintala was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Guinea Pigs. Yoshihide Sugiyama got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 5.2 innings. Chris Edwards recorded the save, his 2nd.

With Gwinnett leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Rintala hit a splitter from Miguel Ávila for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Guinea Pigs ahead, 5-0.

Rintala told a Gwinnett Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Gwinnett, now 6-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
