Toledo picked up a win at Virginia Beach Grounds, toppling the Virginia Beach Whales, 4-2. Pitcher Darwin McGinnity was one of the reasons the Saboteurs triumphed. Virginia Beach falls to 2-3.

Toledo relied on the hitting of Xie-li Shiu to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 4-1. For the game, Shiu had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Toledo manager Will Thomas.
