Hashimoto hits 2 home runs as Polar Bears Squeeze Past Tacoma
Billings designated hitter Takeichi Hashimoto was a significant contributor in his team's 8-7 triumph over the Tacoma Fur Traders. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for Billings. The win belongs to Otis Knapp in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Rafael Ramos took the loss for Tacoma. The win takes Billings to 3-1.

Hashimoto had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 3-1 fastball from Luke Fitzgerald, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Polar Bears a 8-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Hashimoto.

In postgame comments, Hashimoto told the Billings Daily News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
