Humpbacks Beat Athletic Club KC, 2-1
|
Athletic Club KC got a terrific performance from pitcher Iván Contreras, but it wasn't enough to beat the Alaskan Humpbacks. Alaskan won the Sea World contest, 2-1. Contreras threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win belongs to Jorge Pagán in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Iván Contreras took the loss for Athletic Club KC. Alaskan bumps their record to 42-37 with the win.
Alaskan took a 2-1 lead on Marcos Luna's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Athletic Club KC pitcher Iván Contreras in the bottom of the eighth.
Luna called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
