The Salt Lake City Buzz wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Everton Stirzacre, falling 2-1 to the Sacramento Redlegs at Spirits Stadium. Ewan Atwood closed it out for his 7th save. With the victory, the Redlegs upped their record to 39-39.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, Colton Donnelly's at-bat in the top of the ninth was vitally important. With no one out, the Sacramento pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

"It was a good effort all around," said Donnelly.
