Starting pitcher Ben van de Loo pitched well enough to help the Pennsauken Flyers beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 8-4. Eric O'Slattery earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. The victory puts Pennsauken at 16-49.

Mark Ream hit a run-scoring double off Doug Swanson in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Flyers in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Ream had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," van de Loo told the Pennsauken Chronicle.
