The Sacramento Redlegs picked up a win at Lynx Stadium, knocking off the Calgary Lynx, 8-3. Starting pitcher José Jiménez was a big reason why. In 7.1 innings, Jiménez surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Ewan Atwood finished the game for Sacramento and earned his 4th save.

It could have been a different outcome for Sacramento, had it not been for Colton Donnelly, the 23-year old second baseman . Donnelly contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Sacramento up, 2-0.
