Jersey City Topples Pennsauken, 5-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Peter Bradley, Jersey City beat Pennsauken by the score of 5-1. The Tritons raised their record to 29-26.
In the top of the seventh, Jorge Gardella stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Flyers were trailing 4-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Edwin Perry made a terrific pitch and Gardella grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Pennsauken comeback.
