Barton Springs Gets 7-3 Win
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Tacoma Fur Traders were eager to watch Vladsislas Meierhold square off against Ryan Riley of the visiting Barton Springs Blues. In the end, the Blues won the game, 7-3, with Denny Wolfe leading the way. Ryan Riley got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7.1 innings. Graviel Azevedo earned the save for Barton Springs, his 1st of the year.

Wolfe contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Barton Springs in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Wolfe took a fastball from Vladsislas Meierhold and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Blues to leap in front, 2-1.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Wolfe.
