Riley Slugs Buzz to 11-4 Win
The Plymouth Rocks and Salt Lake City Buzz were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The performance of Gerald Riley proved critical in helping Salt Lake City beat Plymouth, 11-4. The Buzz first baseman hit 3 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 4. Poto Boldrini got the win, improving to 3-2. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4.

Riley contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Salt Lake City in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Riley took a curveball from Raúl González and stroked the home run to left. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Buzz to leap in front, 2-1.

"It feels good to get this one," Riley told the Salt Lake City Today.

The Buzz saw their record improve to 24-17.
