8-4 Loss Extends Pennsauken Skid
|
The losses keep piling up for the Pennsauken Flyers.
Pennsauken got a terrific game from second baseman Wally Harrison. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Hartford, 8-4. Harrison went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Hartford reliever Bill Aylwin picked up the win, while Todd Johnson took the loss for Pennsauken.
Hartford relied on the hitting of Roldão Cintra to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Pride on top, 5-0. For the game, Cintra had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Cintra.
The Flyers, now 8-32, have lost 14 in a row.
