The Vermont Lake Monsters weathered a fine game by Baton Rouge designated hitter Kennet Udinga to upend the Brass, 8-4, at Brass Field. Udinga went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Vermont pitcher Armando Mata got the win, upping his record to 3-5. Carlos Rosado got the loss. Vermont is now 33-36. Baton Rouge is 46-23.

Vermont used a clutch hit from Sonny Greenwood to snatch the win. The catcher belted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lake Monsters ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Greenwood.
