Coyotes Come Up Short at Forest City, 6-5
|
The Forest City Warriors did just enough to sneak past the Hamilton Coyotes, 6-5, at League Park. Forest City pitcher Dave Berry, in particular, had a standout performance. In 6 innings, Berry surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Forest City has now won 4 straight.
Walt Pritchard went 1 for 2 with 3 walks against the Coyotes. In the bottom of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Forest City in front, 1-0.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Pritchard told the Forest City Daily.
