Brass Field was the site of a tense game between the Baton Rouge Brass and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes.

Santa Barbara got a first-rate effort from pitcher Tim Waters, who frustrated Baton Rouge hitters en route to a 2-1 Golden Cranes triumph at Brass Field. In 8 innings, Waters surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Jasper Smulders was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 6 save opportunities.

Sergio Rivera provided a timely hit. The Santa Barbara designated hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
