Knights Cuff Dogfish Head, 12-2
|
A 3-RBI performance from second baseman David Knight led the Nolensville Knights to a win over the Milton Dogfish Head, 12-2. Jun-soo P'il, the winning pitcher, is now 4-2. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 2. Nolensville is now 27-34, while Milton is 30-31.
The Knights got an important contribution from catcher Martín Muñóz, who in the top of the seventh hit a 0-1 slider into left for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 12-1.
Milton manager Alexander Allen called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
