Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Sunset District Fog and Forest City Warriors.
Forest City pitcher Michael Ramsey gave the Fog all they could handle, but in the end, Sunset District left League Park with a win, 2-1. Ramsey allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 8 innings. Earning his 1st save for Sunset District was Aubrey Curry.
Sunset District used the timely hitting of Tom Hancock to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fog on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hancock told the Sunset District Herald.
With the win, Sunset District raised its record to 28-27.
