A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Bakersfield Nobles and Calgary Lynx.
The Bakersfield Nobles topped the Calgary Lynx by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Juan Andrés Martí. Martí was 1 for 2 with 3 walks for the Nobles on the day. Dave Green, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. Victor Jones got credit for the save for Bakersfield. It was his 2nd of the year.
Bakersfield relied on the hitting of Marcus Shill to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Nobles on top, 1-0. For the game, Shill had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Martí told the Bakersfield News.
