Port Royal second baseman Stu Hamilton played a vital role in his team's 8-5 triumph over Syracuse. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Port Royal. José Díaz sewed up the save, his 4th. The Disaster improved to 10-14.

Hamilton had a timely hit for Port Royal in the bottom of the seventh. With Syracuse trailing 5-4, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 8-5, Port Royal.
