The Baton Rouge Brass and Tortolita Drummers provided some drama for the home crowd.

Baton Rouge right fielder Obke Veenman had a good game, even if his team did not. The Brass dropped a 7-6 decision to Tortolita at Brass Field. Veenman went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Tony Correa earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0.

Tortolita took advantage of an error in the top of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Tony Hernández hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Tortolita in front, 6-5.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hernández.

The win puts Tortolita at 13-6.
