Dogfish Head Beat Brass, 5-1

The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Baton Rouge Brass, 5-1, in M3L Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern. The standout performance belonged to Milton pitcher and St. Joseph, Missouri, native José Pacheco. Pacheco went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-1. The save was Garry Horton's, his 1st.
The Dogfish Head got an important contribution from third baseman Jesús Bonilla, who in the bottom of the third punched a 1-0 splitter into left for a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Dogfish Head ahead, 2-0.
Bonilla attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Losses have been rare for the Brass, who are now 11-3.
