Rocketeers Deal Lighthouse 3-2 Defeat
|
The Seattle Rocketeers faced a tough opponent in Long Island pitcher Aldo Ottens, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Lighthouse by a final score of 3-2. Ottens went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Basilio Delgado got credit for the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. Scott Alexander nailed down his 3rd save.
It could have been a different outcome for Seattle, had it not been for Ethan Duffy, the 26-year old second baseman . Duffy contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"This was a tough loss," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
After today's action, Seattle sits at 12-16, while Long Island falls to 13-15.
