Knights Lose to Piranhas, 3-2
|
Panama City picked up a win at The Tank, toppling the Kingston Township Knights, 3-2. Pitcher Cy Dickson was one of the reasons the Piranhas triumphed. In 6.2 innings, Dickson surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The triumph makes Panama City 9-17.
Making an impact for the home team was William Penn. In the bottom of the first, the former first round draft pick had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Piranhas.
After the game, Panama City manager Brian Talamante applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
