The Greenville 84s picked up a win at 84s Field, knocking off the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 5-3. On the mound for Greenville was right-hander Jesús Silva, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner in relief was Sixto Bustamante. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. Derek May picked up the save, his 2nd.
Juan Neváres hit a run-scoring triple off Everton Stirzacre in the bottom of the seventh, which put the 84s in front, 4-3. Neváres had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Neváres told a Greenville Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The win has Greenville at 10-15.
