White Walkers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Buffalo first baseman Zhong-yi Yun helped his team beat the Kingston Township Knights, 7-2. Yun went 2 for 3 for the White Walkers. Shem Burkholder, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-1. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Picking up the save was Jorge Torres, his 1st.
Yun contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Buffalo in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Yun took a fastball from Mark Wells and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the White Walkers to leap in front, 3-2.
"We won," Yun told assembled media after the game. "I guess that's all that really matters."
Buffalo, with the win, is 7-3.
