The Detroit Elite bested the D.C. Divided by a score of 10-7, with second baseman Mark Thomas getting the main credit. On the day, Thomas hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Elite. Detroit reliever Augusto Jaramillo picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Wu-ti Xuan was saddled with the loss. With the win, Detroit pushed its record to 55-51.

Detroit won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Wu-ti Xuan on the mound for D.C., designated hitter Daniel McCoy hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Elite fans to their feet.

McCoy told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
