3-HR Dream Game for Wan Monday, August 20th , 2046 Fans are still buzzing after Athletic Club KC whipped the Fort Knox Centennial by the score of 12-9 today at Ballpark of Baxter. Liann-wei Wan smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the first baseman bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 3 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Wan said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Wan said. "Three is just... wow." Liann-wei Wan hit a solo-shot off Félix Ruíz in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Ortíz in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Iiri Lahti in the 9th. So far this year, Wan is batting .290 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
