Kimmonen Goes 5-for-6
Friday, July 20th , 2046
5 times is the charm -- at least for Seppo Kimmonen.
The Fort Knox Centennial shortstop tore up the Quebec City Baby Blues to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Dylan Park today. The offensive onslaught from Kimmonen powered the Centennial to a 15-0 win.
"Kimmonen was a tough out today," Quebec City manager Seth Rice said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Seppo Kimmonen doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season Kimmonen is hitting at a .273 pace with 7 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 35 times.
