Walker Gets Award for Relief Work

He may only be 25, but Jason Walker of the Richland Rails has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the USPL Double A.

The reliever was today named the PAA Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2046.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 9 saves in 23 relief appearances and 35 strikeouts in 57.2 innings. He had a record of 1-1 to go with his 2.50 ERA.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Eduardo Pérez of the Richland Rails finished second in voting, while John Ralston of the Northville Eclipse finished third.
