McCoy Gets Award for Relief Work
Monday, October 8th , 2046
At the age of 22, Carl McCoy says he still has a lot to learn about life in USSL Double A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Minnesota Loons reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2046 USSL Double A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Akron, Ohio native said.
For the season, McCoy had 26 saves in 54 relief appearances, which totaled 90.2. He fanned 87 betters, while walking 22 and put up a record of 5-3 to go with his 2.08 ERA.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Sidd Finch of the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas finished second in voting, while David Guzmán of the Tacoma Fur Traders finished third with 3 first place votes.
