Alberto Jiménez Injured, Out for Year
Sunday, June 17th , 2046
The doctors have spoken and Alberto Jiménez of the Marquette Miners didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Jiménez sustained his season-ending injury during the Westwood Sixshooters game yesterday at Sixshooters Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Marquette medical staff reported Jiménez had a ruptured finger tendon and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.
In 2 starts this year Jiménez has crafted a 0-2 record and a 5.93 ERA.
