Valdéz Pounds 3 HR Against Blue Sox Thursday, June 21st , 2046 Leonardo Valdéz showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Irving Blue Sox and sparked the Blues to a 7-6 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Blues Field." For the day, Valdéz collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Barton Springs skipper Alonso Cruz said. "Leonardo really put on a show." Leonardo Valdéz hit a two-run home run off Jeffrey Eckert in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jeffrey Eckert in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jun-soo P'il in the 9th.
