Sacramento's Burnell Top SAAA Batter in September Monday, October 1st , 2046 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 24 Lewis Burnell has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Sacramento Redlegs star can enjoy the numbers he put up in September, which have garnered him the nod as the USSL Triple A Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .400 average with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Career-to-date Burnell has rung up a .236 average, played in 140 games and collected 23 doubles, 1 triple and 26 home runs. |
