Bang-up Game: Childs Slams 3 Homers
Tuesday, July 3rd , 2046
It was a good day for the Kansas Rainbeaus and an exceptional one for Fraser Childs. The 27-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Rainbeaus beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds 9-4 at Dog Park in Ellenburg.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Childs said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats.
Fraser Childs flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Cecil Drabek in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off António León in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Herman Griffin in the 9th.
On the season, Childs is batting .346 with 11 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 41 games.
