Injury Sidelines Markus Widner For Year Wednesday, August 29th , 2046 The doctors have spoken and Markus Widner of the Salt Lake City Buzz didn't like what he heard. The 35-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Widner sustained his season-ending injury during the Bakersfield Nobles game yesterday at Spirits Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Salt Lake City medical staff reported Widner had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. |
