Castro Fires 7-0 Shutout in Lake Monsters Win Tuesday, July 10th , 2046 Sergio Castro shut out the Forest City Warriors 7-0 on a 1-hit masterpiece for the Vermont Lake Monsters at Monster Field today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Vermont skipper Juan Rodríguez said afterward. Castro registered 6 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Forest City manager Ramón Pantoja after the defeat. His record this year is 2-4 in 10 starts and Castro has a 5.82 ERA.
