Northern Lions BC Kringlen and Browns Carlson Suspended for Fight Saturday, September 1st , 2046 Yesterday at Great Northern Field Keaton Kringlen and Steven Carlson got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Cleveland Browns. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Kringlen will have to sit out 5 while Carlson would be given a 3-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. In the current season, Kringlen has put up a .319 batting average with 109 hits, 23 home runs, 60 runs batted in and scored 65 runs. |
