Outstanding Pitcher Award Goes to Hollywood Hurler Saturday, November 3rd , 2046 It was a glorious year for Van Hileman of the Hollywood Shredders. He finished the season with 10 victories and only 6 losses, with an impressive 3.22 ERA. The talented Shredders pitcher started 23 games and struck out 166 batters in 142.2 innings and won the United States Silver League Outstanding Pitcher Award. "It means a lot," Hileman said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." Martin Luther of the Detroit Elite finished second in voting, while Gregory Collins of the Colorado Billy Goats finished third. |
