Bullets End Barrón's Streak Sunday, September 16th , 2046 It was a doubly miserable day today for Juan Barrón of the Mississippi Mockingbirds, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose 8-6 to the Baltimore Bullets at Magnolia Park. The 26-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Bullets. "Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Barrón currently has a .315 batting average with 131 hits, 1 homers, 28 RBIs, 74 runs scored and a .369 OBP. |
