Cowan Shuts Out Bullets, 5-0

Hollywood Shredders fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Tony Cowan blanked the Baltimore Bullets, 5-0 at The Hollywood Bowl today. Cowan stopped them on 2 hits while walking 0 and striking out 10.
"Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Shredders skipper Bill Cheese said. "He was on top of his game in this one."
Cowan has made 12 starts so far this year and put up a 7-3 won-lost record with a 3.55 ERA. In 83.2 innings he has allowed 67 hits, walked 12 and struck out 81.
