MacMurchy Heads the Freshman Class Saturday, September 1st , 2046 August was a special time for Toledo pitcher, Archie MacMurchy. It was such a good month that the United States Silver League selected him the league's top newcomer and awarded him the Rookie of the Month trophy. Last month the 23-year-old starter breezed through the SL with 3 wins and 1 loss and a 2.00 ERA as he struck out 31 in 36 innings and held enemy hitters to a .228 batting average. To this point in the season MacMurchy has 7 wins and 6 losses and a 4.28 ERA. |
