PA Outstanding Hitter Award Goes To York
Tuesday, September 25th , 2046
At the age of 23, Teddy York of the Kennesaw Jets could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2046 was good enough to win the second baseman the USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .291 batting average this year, as well as a .337 on-base percentage. He played 96 games and racked up 109 hits, 17 doubles, 1 triple, 27 home runs, 76 RBIs and 60 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ronald Dacanay of the Laredo Hawks finished second in voting, while Esteban Costello of the Caldwell Chiefs finished third.
